Lodroe Nyima Charity Foundation

Sponsorship of little nuns and Lamas

The Project Objectives and The Purpose

DSC00079.jpg    To help others to understand Buddha is the greatest return in life and these benefits will continue life after life. The Buddha taught us through the Mahayana Scripture that the Bodhisattva must study Paramita. The meaning of Paramita, when translated into Chinese, is “the ultimate perfection”. The ultimately perfect donation is to let go, to give in and to help others impersonally. There are the numerous methods that benefit others and to accumulate merits. To practice and return is one way. To support the Puja, Buddhist methods inspiration, retreat and help others to learn Buddhism with financial means is another way.

The ingenious people know how to let go and give in and these people also have the true understanding of universe and life.

There are about 70 little Lamas and 50 little nuns living and studying in the Qinghai Thrangu Monastery today. During the earthquake took place in April 2010, their homes were destroyed and their friends and relatives were separated. As many family members lost their lives, the little Lamas become orphans such that they became a serious family burden if they continue their Buddhist study. Under the help and encouragement of the host, Khenpo and teachers, the Lamas insist to learn despite various obstacles. Because they learn to benefit others, they have never given up to practice on a daily basis. Their fearless attitude is precious and touching! Through the sponsorship plans for the little Lamas and nuns, you are only required to donate RMB 250 per month ($3000 annually) to support the cost of living of one Lama or Nun for a whole year. The plan really helps them to continue their study and we hope you can donate at your own discretion.

Without a desk, little nuns insist in their learning

There are about 100 nuns in the Qinghai Thrangu Nunery

No matter how long and how many monks you sponsor, you are all very welcome. You will also benefit from their result of practice.

The adolescence is an important period in the formation of character, worldview and self-awareness for a person. This period is also important to strengthen their foundation, cultivate their sentiments and the time to formulate the correct philosophy of life. No matter what area of knowledge, principles and techniques they learned, they will have great effects on their lives.  The so-called, "10 year learned in childhood will be unforgettable for the whole life." To let the child learn without worry and burden is very crucial and important. We wish you can open your intellectual and compassionate heart, extend your powerful arms to help them achieve!
